"AROUND THE WORLD" CABARET--PART II

Description

   Support The Playmakers and have some fun as well by attending the second in the Around the World Cabarets, Friday, October 9^th at 7:30 pm. All charges will be donations.  Adults only with a cover charge of $20 per person.  Our favorite mixologist, Rick DuBois, will be creating some new, some familiar drinks.

   Guests will leave Brazil, which was the last stop in the recent Latin America Cabaret, and cross the southern Atlantic for a brief refueling stop in Africa on the way to Europe.  One complimentary drink is from this stop: a Nigerian Chapman.

   Continuing to Western Europe, the first stop is England, where a second complimentary drink will be a Pimm’s Cup.

   At this fundraiser, Auction drinks may include a Navy Grogg and from Scotland, a Rusty Nail.  A ferry ride will get guests across the English Channel to Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where a third auction drink will be the Holland Fizz.  Then north to Denmark for a Copenhagen, and Norway for a Fjelbekk.  Reversing course to France, guests will enjoy a French 75 which has surprising ingredients (and was a favorite of one of the characters in the film Casablanca.) And finally to the last stop, Italy, for perhaps the final auctioned drink, an Ouzo Lemon Spirtz.

   For the first time, there will be a silent auction, with a nice selection of items. Guests from the first Around the World Cabaret are reminded to bring their passports if they weren’t left for safe keeping with The Playmakers.
